The National Food Institute provides this website in order to facilitate access to information on the nutrients and other substances in food. We aim that the information is as accurate and up to date as possible. Any errors will be sought corrected.
It is evident that a food database is not solely a Danish effort, as the financial cost alone of food analyzes is too large, even over a span of years. Consequently, we use to a certain extent data obtained from other countries food databases.The National Food Institute cannot give guarantees about the accuracy, sequence, timeliness or completeness of this data.
Permission is granted to use information from the database as is. The database is an expert tool where the final assessment of properties is dictated by the user’s own scientific judgment. The information in the database stems from many sources and in some cases it may be wrong.
All access to the database should happen through the provided search engine on this site and without any use of automated workflow or scripting.
